Polish Society of Systematic Philosophy PTFiS

The Polish Society of Systematic Philosophy (PTFiS) in its present form was established in 2009 in Warsaw, as a result of transformation from the Ludwig Wittgenstein Society, which had been operating since 1996.

The purpose of the Society’s activities is:
to bring together people interested in philosophical issues, especially systematic philosophy,
to develop and promote philosophy by inspiring, encouraging and implementing members in scientific work and continuous improvement of professional qualifications,
cooperation with foreign philosophical centers, especially promoting and facilitating contacts with these centers,
conducting scientific, research, teaching, popularization and publishing activities.

The Society pursues the goals thus defined in particular by:
recruiting active activists,
close cooperation with the scientific community in Poland and abroad (organization and participation in conferences),
publishing activities,
popularization of the research achievements of its members (lectures, seminars)
educational activities
undertaking activities to attract sponsors


General information
The Polish Society for Systematic Philosophy has more than 30 members, is financed by membership fees and donations, does not carry out business activities and operates on the basis of the voluntary work of its members. The Society is headquartered in Warsaw, Poland.
